We are unfortunately seeing some viruses and illnesses around the school and wider community at the moment.
We are continuing to take the important steps of ensuring air purifiers are in use, external ventilation is maximised and good personal hygiene is encouraged.
Students displaying symptoms of any illness should not attend school.
Should students become unwell during the school day parents will be asked to collect their child from school and to keep them home until they are no longer symptomatic.
Please note that some illnesses have a minimum period of exclusion from school. The Minimum Period of Exclusion from Primary Schools and Children’s Services for Infectious Disease Cases and Contacts outlines these conditions.
Please read carefully, as this includes conditions such as vomiting/diarrhoea (remain at home until there has not been vomiting or a loose bowel motion for 24 hours) and head lice.

Walk to School Day – Thank You!
A big thank you to all the students, families and staff who joined us for Walk to School Day last Thursday. It was fantastic to see so many in our community getting active, enjoying the fresh air, and helping reduce congestion around the school.
Events like this are a great way to promote healthy habits and safe, active travel. Thanks for being part of it and making the morning such a success!
Safe to School Survey – Final Days to Have Your Say
Buninyong Primary School is working with RoadSafe Central Highlands on our Safe to School project, focused on improving road safety and supporting safer, more active travel to and from school.
Thanks to those who have already completed the parent survey. We’ve had a great response, with over 90 parents sharing their thoughts so far. If you haven’t yet, there’s still time - but be quick! The survey closes this Friday 23rd May.
Your input is vital in helping us understand traffic and safety concerns and shaping future improvements.
