Principal's Report

Greenhouse Up and Ready to Go
It was quite a big day yesterday, as a highly qualified team gathered to nut out the jigsaw of hundreds of pieces that all needed to come together in the right places. Whilst there were moments of head scratching, it all came together in the end and the new greenhouse looks amazing.
Thanks to the team of Jordon Smith, Simon Faithfull, Rene De Jong (Grandad of one of our students) and Bill Hulston (also a grandad at the school) who did all of the construction work yesterday. And a big thankyou to Mark Dell, who laid the foundation for the greenhouse on Friday.
As you can see from the photos, the greenhouse sits naturally into the school yard and the timing is perfect as the weather cools and the Ready Set Grow crew look to use the greenhouse over the winter months.
Next we look forward to undertaking a makeover to our greenhouse and vegie patch at Scotsburn.
Fete Profits
It now feels like the fete is in the distant past, but the final bits of revenue have been coming in and the bills have been paid. So now we have a final profit to announce, that being $21.000. That’s a fantastic outcome and is a significant improvement on previous fetes.
Everyone ought to be proud of that outcome. A big thankyou to everyone that helped in any way, whether than be through giving your time, donating things or just bringing the family along on the night. Overall, it was another fantastic community effort.
You might remember that fete profits will be used to replace a number of student tabletops across the school and contribute to a project to insulate the gym. We’ll keep you updated on those projects as they take shape.
