Hills Discovery Centre Excursion | Year 5
The smell of chlorine, the slapping of thongs on the pavement and the excited giggles of our Pre-Primary - Year 3 students has been a highlight as they enjoyed their swimming lessons recently. It is always lovely to accompany the students to the pools, hear tales of favourite animals and birthdays and their latest favourite songs! Congratulations to all our swimmers and all the parents who organised, dried, organised and dried over the two weeks.
Father Jeff has been welcomed warmly back into the JWACS community as vising Chaplain. He has engaged us in Chapel and has a long-standing connection to the School right back to the very early days where students bussed over to the Murdoch campus. We are grateful to have him with us.
As we head into the second half of Term 2, we are focused in on collating student progress and achievement to date. We have been working behind the scenes to make a couple of changes to our Reports for this Semester, including an opportunity for students to have a voice in this important process. More information regarding this will come from me via SEQTA soon.
I think the House Reveal today is my absolute favourite! Always such a fun way to find out the winning House. Congratulations to Scott. What a wonderful Assembly hosted by our Year 3 students and a great way to celebrate mid-term.
Thank you to parents and carers who have contributed to the first Evaluation Survey. Part 2 is now available as we dig a little deeper into your experiences. If you have a few minutes, please use the link below to access this survey.
Enjoy the long weekend.
Take care.

Head of Primary
We want your feedback and would appreciate your help in completing this PYP Evaluation survey – Part 2. It should only take 5 minutes to complete. Your feedback will contribute to identifying our strengths and deciding our next steps in our journey in the PYP.
This survey is a follow up to the initial survey sent through SEQTA.
Thank you for your time.
This morning the Primary School enjoyed coming together in the BDISC. We were treated to a fantastic presentation by the Year 3 classes, including some great singing. The Assembly also saw lots of trophies and medals presented to the highest performing runners from the recent Inter-House Cross Country Carnival. It was also wonderful to be able to celebrate the winner of the House Spirit award, Lachlan Brown, who sacrificed a high position in his event to stop and help an injured runner. The type of thing we come to expect from our John Wollaston students!
Wishing all the Primary community a safe and well-deserved long weekend.
