English with elements of Drama!

Year 8 English students got hands-on with drama! They've been studying the elements of dramatic texts and recently had a workshop in the Drama room. There, they explored the power of mime and learned how to effectively use their bodies and voices for stage performance.  Great job, Year 8!

Macbeth at the Roxy!

On Thursday, June 5th, our Year 8, 9, 10, and 11 Drama students had an incredible experience at the Roxy Theatre in Leeton! They were captivated by Sport for Jove's innovative and creative production of Shakespeare's classic tragedy, Macbeth.

Students absolutely loved the show and even had the fantastic opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with the talented actors afterwards. This was particularly beneficial for our Year 9 students who are currently delving into Macbethin their English classes, giving them a much deeper understanding of the play.

It was a truly great day out for everyone involved.

Our Year 12 Standard English students have been doing a fantastic job honing their writing skills through timed responses in class. This focused practice is a key part of their preparation for the HSC later this year.

By gradually building their understanding of the exam's expectations and receiving valuable feedback, students are well on their way to success in the Trial HSC in Term 3. Keep up the great work, Year 12!
