It’s been a vibrant and rewarding term for our Secondary School students, with a wide range of activities designed to build life skills, confidence, and community engagement.

Our collaboration with Metro Trains included both an incursion and an excursion, giving students valuable lessons on rail safety, how to use the public transport system, and how to navigate Flinders Street Station independently. These sessions are vital in developing travel confidence and real-world problem-solving skills.

A highlight was our excursion to ACMI, where students explored the exciting world of games and film. They interacted with exhibitions that traced the evolution of screen culture and enjoyed hands-on experiences that sparked plenty of conversation and laughter.

Work experience at Enable has seen students actively participating in recycling electronic waste—tearing down old computers and learning about sustainability and workplace routines. It’s been a fantastic opportunity for practical skill-building in a supportive environment.

Swimming sessions were met with great enthusiasm. Students practised water safety, used life jackets, and even learned basic rescue techniques—always with big smiles and cheers from the pool deck.

Our interschool sport program saw students participate in soccer matches at Darebin, developing teamwork, sportsmanship, and fitness in a fun and encouraging setting.

Classes also enjoyed visits to Broadmeadows Library and Broadmeadows Central, promoting independence and engaging with local community services.

Thank you to our dedicated teaching team and support staff for facilitating these opportunities.
