2025 Parent Payment Contributions
Don’t forget, contributions to Team Westbreen, Parent Payment Contributions for 2025 are on XUNO for your consideration. While government funding plays a crucial role in supporting education, your contributions can make a significant difference in the quality and breadth of educational opportunities available to your child and their peers.
To access XUNO and make a 2025 curriculum contribution please paste the link to XUNO - https://westbreenps.xuno.com.au/ - into your browser or open the app on your mobile phone and select the Event 2025 Parent Payment Arrangements.
Contributing financially to your child's school, even when education is publicly funded, can have several benefits:
- Enhanced Resources: Government funding may not always cover all the expenses necessary for a high-quality education. Your contributions can help provide additional resources such as updated technology, extracurricular activities, or special programs that enrich your child's educational experience.
- Supporting School Programs: Many schools rely on fundraising efforts to support essential programs like art, music, sports, or after-school clubs. Your financial support can ensure these programs continue to thrive, offering your child a well-rounded education beyond the core curriculum.
- Community Engagement: Contributing to your child's school fosters a sense of community and belonging. It shows your commitment to the school's mission and values, and it sets a positive example for your child about the importance of giving back and supporting institutions that benefit the community.
- Addressing Funding Gaps: In some cases, schools in economically disadvantaged areas may not receive adequate government funding. Your financial contribution can help bridge these gaps, ensuring that all students have access to the resources they need to succeed academically.
- Investment in Your Child's Future: By supporting your child's school financially, you are investing in their future. A well-funded school with ample resources can provide better educational opportunities, potentially leading to improved academic performance and future success for your child.
School Saver Bonus (SSB)
Payment methods have now been updated in XUNO for all future Events, so that parents and carers can now select from a number of payment options including via credit card, using the Camps Sports and Excursion Fund (CSEF) monies or the School Saver Bonus (SSB) funds. After selecting Pay Now in XUNO, you will be forwarded to the payment selection area where you can now select from the following payment methods:
- Credit Card
- CSEF
- SSB
If wishing to pay via CSEF or SSB, please ensure you note in the Voucher Code area on XUNO, whether payment is to be deducted from the balance of your CSEF funds or SSB funds. Once the preferred payment method is selected, a note will automatically be sent to our office staff to check the availability of funds and approve payment.
Also don't forget that any SSB funds remaining after 30 June 2025, including online voucher amounts that have not been redeemed, will automatically be transferred as a credit to your family account to use on future school activities. Please note however, that the credit amount transferred will not be available on your family account to use for any upcoming events at our school until late July when confirmation of the amount has been processed.
If you wish to use any remaining SSB funds to cover the cost of school activities between now and the end of July, you must allocate the funds to school Activities via the SSB online system before 30 June 2025.
Please refer to the SSB online system to learn more about this process and download the step-by-step System guide for parents and carers (DOCX, 945KB) or watch this School Saving Bonus video. System guide translations are also available in 14 languages.
