Our Junior School students have settled into the school year really positively. A big thank you to all our Year 7s and 8s for their enthusiasm and great attitude as they embrace new routines and friendships.

Our Year 7 students have been learning how to use Compass, Google Classroom, and Google Drive, and we’ve also had discussions on important topics around bullying, including how to handle situations both online and in person.

Taking on a leadership role takes courage, and we’re so proud of the students who put themselves forward to give it a go. Some outstanding candidates were interviewed for the role of Year 7 Captain, and we are happy to announce that Toby Lopata and Maya Schneider have been selected as Co-Captains. Congratulations to both students!

NAPLAN testing took place in Week 7 with tests covering Writing, Reading, Language Conventions, and Numeracy. Students are to be commended on the way they conducted themselves throughout the entire process. They were organised, punctual and respectful.

Our Year 12 students were keen to connect with Year 7s over some fun board games. It was a great way for the junior students to meet new people and take a break at lunchtime. We’re hoping this friendly competition will continue with the introduction of a number of clubs for students to engage in next term.

Junior students took part in an important Toolbox Workshop. Year 7s focused on "Emotion Regulation." This session helped students develop strategies to manage their emotions, handle challenges, and build resilience—essential skills for both school and life. Year 8s took part in a workshop where they explored “Thinking Traps” and how to develop a positive mindset.  It was great to see students engaging in meaningful discussions and gaining practical tools to support their well-being.

We held our Parent Welcome Picnic this term, where families met with staff and connected with each other. Thank you to everyone who braved the impending rain to join us.

We're pleased to report a very successful Year 7 Bayview Adventure Camp which took place from March 26th–28th. The camp was a fantastic opportunity for students to build friendships, challenge themselves, and create lasting memories. Camp is always a highlight of Year 7. Our Year 8 camp at Lake Dewar is locked in, and we can’t wait for the adventure ahead. Stay tuned for more details.

We truly appreciate the ongoing support from our Year 7 and 8 families. Your encouragement and involvement make a big difference in helping our students thrive at school. Thank you for working with us to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
