From Principal Steve - Parent Payment Reminder

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am writing to remind you that parent contributions are an essential part of our school’s budget. The fees you pay help Brighton Primary School deliver a comprehensive education program that supports strong learning outcomes for all students.

At Brighton Primary School, we are committed to continuous improvement. While the Department of Education funds a standard curriculum program, many of the highly valued programs and resources our students enjoy go well beyond this base level of funding. These enhancements are only possible through the generous financial support of our families.

Your contributions directly enhance our teaching and learning programs, particularly in literacy and numeracy. They also support our technology and physical education programs, music resources, the provision of a school nurse and grounds staff, and improvements to our classroom spaces and overall school environment.

In addition, parent payments indirectly strengthen our financial position, often allowing us to maintain smaller class sizes and provide a comprehensive Learning Enhancement Team to support student intervention and extension.

Some recent and current school improvement projects made possible through your support include:

  • Additional literacy resources
  • New shade sails (Prep area and Grounds Café)
  • Classroom air-conditioning
  • Upgraded classroom furniture
  • School painting works
  • New iPads and laptops
  • Playground upgrades
  • Basketball court resurfacing
  • New carpet in relocatable classrooms
  • Updated classroom libraries (Prep to Year 6)
  • Improved school communications, including a new website
  • Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF)
  • Access to our second-hand uniform shop
  • Assistance through the State Schools’ Relief Fund (SSRF)

We are incredibly grateful to the families who have already contributed. If you have not yet made your contribution, we encourage you to do so at your earliest convenience.

Payments can be made via Compass or directly through the school office—in person or over the phone.
