Principal's message

God of Wisdom,

May the holiday be for us a time of rest and recreation to help restore us and re-create us in your image and likeness, as we enjoy more of the love and presence of our families,

Give our teachers and those who support our school the strength and courage to care for all students and to cater for their needs. May you inspire them with creativity as they plan for our term four learning experiences.

Fill them with peace as they find ways to deal with the many new concerns they have to address to fulfill their roles.

May they always know of our gratitude for them.

 Amen.

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the last week of term 3.

I was looking back through our Facebook posts last week and reflected on the wonderful extracurricular events the children have enjoyed this term.

It is such a credit to our teaching staff to enliven the children's learning with such rich experiences whether they be our faith based  special days, science incursions, sporting events, book week, etc.

These special events value add to the learning of the children, build parent engagement and foster a love of learning for our children.

Often these types of events require extra effort from families and even grandparents, and we are grateful for this ongoing support and partnership with our families.

Today and tomorrow our children will marvel under the science dome and Friday we end the term with our greatly anticipated Footy colours day.

Thanks for a fabulous term everyone.

Maintenance

Over the term break as always we have some maintenance occurring at school.  The senior children's toilets will have work completed.

This will be the first stage of refurbishing the toilets, soft fill will  be topped up in the playground areas, extra  emergency lighting  will be installed along with routine  maintenance electrical works, the exhaust system in the senior toilets will be serviced.

Sun Smart

All children will be expected to wear their approved wide brimmed hat  from day one next  term.  These hats are for the protection of the children and as such will be worn appropriately. No brims will be tucked into the hat rather the brim is to protect the face, ears and neck for the children.

No adornments, medals,  tears or writing on hats will be accepted.

School Advisory Council Meeting

There will be a School Advisory Council meeting on Tuesday 17th Septemberat 6.00 pm in the staff room.

Leave

I will be on approved leave for the first four weeks of term four.

Kate Bevan, our very capable Deputy  will be in the role of principal whilst I am away.  Stacey Lamb, also very capable, will assume the role of Deputy for Kate during this time.

I confidently leave the running of the school in both these leaders' hands.

Have a wonderful and restful break everyone and let's have a fabulous term 4 with swimming programs for all, grade five /six camp and lot's of focused learning.

End of Term:

School Finishes for Term 3 on Friday 20th of September at 2.20 pm
