Our Year 7 students have demonstrated their creative skills in designing a backyard using computer software and turning their virtual creations into reality.

The task was to design a backyard following some strict guidelines and showing their ability to stick to a budget.

The final stage was to produce their design using a variety of materials and to display their final product to be judge by their peers.

With over 25 entries for judging, it was not an easy task to narrow it down to our top four. We would like to thank students and parents alike (who provided their children with the materials) for getting on board. We were certainly impressed by the designs and how creative/ engaged our students were with the task.

Well done to our winners who were treated to a Subway lunch.

Our winners were: CeLena Organ (7A); Ethan Cronin (7A); Sharma Suthanantha Sarma (7B) and Ronelle Brennan (7C).

A massive congratulations to our Year 7 students for their efforts in their post-test for the Measurement unit.

All four students were awarded the highest learning growth in the topic:

  • Fhaye Mazo 7A (highest growth in the topic).
  • Sahib Singh 7A
  • Kimberly Zaicz 7A
  • Phoenix Thompson 7C
