Deputy Principal

Dear Parents and families,

The past fortnight has whizzed by as we continue to finish up a busy term at Sacred Heart. It is wonderful that the weather is warming up as Spring is upon us. Hopefully everyone is feeling well again, ready to enjoy the final leg of term 3 and a much needed break and holiday.

LSO APPRECIATION WEEK

Last week we celebrated our wonderful LSO's by having  a special morning tea and  recognising all the work they do every day across our school. Our LSO's (learning support officers) are involved in a number of programs including MSL (Multisensory Structured Language) and Macqlit and Spelling Mastery. They work with indviduals and small groups to encourage, motivate and enhance the learning of  a range of students at Sacred Heart. We are so fortunate to have the LSO's who work in our  school. They are the 'glue' that holds our staff and students together. They always come to work with a smile and a helping hand, not only supporting our students but also supporting our teachers in and out of the classroom. Here are a few snapshots of our LSO's in action! We can't thank them enough for all they do for everyone at Sacred Heart. We wish them a well deserved holiday break too.

What a  delight it was to see Huxley & Xavier pop past my office this week to share the incredible work they do with Karin, our LSO. Huxley & Xavier confidenly read to me and shared their beautiful handwriting and incredible spelling, I thought it was yr 3 work, it was so impressive! Keep up the great work boys!

As I head off on long service leave this week to celebrate a milestone birthday for my mum, I wish you all a well deserved holiday break and I look foward to seeing you all refreshed after a much neeeded rest in term 4.

Take care and stay safe,

Brigid Pennington
