LUX 24 will not only be a wonderful celebration of Visual Art, but also a showcase of our Creative Arts. Live performance on the night will include snippets of musical theatre, Chinese presentations, Spanish songs, dance and drama performances.
Please refer to the Upcoming Events section of this publication for more information.
On Monday 14 October, our Year 7, 8 and 9 Drama students will view a performance of “Bully”, by Mashed Theatre. This production looks at the nuances of bullying and seeks to raise empathic awareness through powerful narrative-based storytelling. This theatre company has worked with a number of mental health organisations to develop a powerful performance on resilience, self-talk, and an acceptance of others. After the performance, our Year 7 and 8 Drama students will have the opportunity to workshop scenes with the professional actors in a masterclass.
We are excited to announce that music rehearsals are now underway as we prepare for our upcoming Secondary Speech Night and Primary Presentation Day. These special occasions will showcase the incredible talents of our students and the hard work they’ve put into their performances.
We are also thrilled to congratulate the following students on their music leadership roles for 2025.
Creative Arts Captains
Aurora Saffery and Georgia Johnston
Choral Leader
Ella McIntyre
String Leader
Caitlin Southwell
Band Leader
Hannah Dryden
We look forward to working closely with these talented leaders as they guide our music program to new heights.
