ICAS Assessments

This year, our Year 2 through to Year 6 students were given the opportunity to participate in the International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) tests for English and Mathematics, adding an exciting academic challenge to their school year.

The testing took place over two official days in the Performing Arts building, providing a focused and supportive environment for the students. We proudly had 85 students sit the Mathematics test and 80 students take the English test. Our Year 2 students completed the assessment on their iPads and our Year 3 to 6 students used their Chromebooks.

Both the English and Mathematics certificates will be delivered directly to the school from ICAS in the coming weeks and distributed to each student next Term.

A big congratulations is in order for all students who took part in these assessments. We had notable achievements, with 5 students earning a distinction in the English assessment, 1 student receiving a high distinction, and 8 students achieving a distinction in the Mathematics assessment.

Each student's effort is commendable, and special recognition goes to our Year 2 students, for whom this was their very first experience with external testing. Every participant, regardless of their grade, should be immensely proud of their accomplishments.
