Year 4 Excursion - Avila College

On Thursday, September 5th, our Year 4 students embarked on an exciting excursion to Avila College for an Art Immersive Experience. The bus departed Good Shepherd at 8:50 am, and the students were eager as they headed towards their destination.

Upon arriving at Avila College, the students were welcomed and immediately engaged in a tour of the Art, Design, and Technology Exhibition. The exhibition showcased a variety of creative works from older students, which fascinated our Year 4 students and sparked their imaginations. They were able to see the different artistic styles and techniques on display, offering them a glimpse into the world of secondary school art.

The highlight of the day was the interactive Art session, where our students had the opportunity to work alongside Avila College students. This hands-on session allowed them to explore new artistic methods and collaborate on creative projects. It was an enriching experience, providing a practical introduction to art in a secondary school setting.

The Immersive Experience concluded around 10:30 am, and the students returned to Good Shepherd with a renewed sense of inspiration and excitement about the possibilities in art. The excursion was a fantastic opportunity for them to see what the future holds and to spark their creativity. We are grateful to Avila College for hosting us and providing such a memorable and engaging experience.
