Year 4 Assembly

In Year 4, we have been learning about forgiveness and healing and how it's important in our everyday lives. The year 4's went on stage and tried to do their best even though it was nerve wracking. In our assembly, we had a paralyzed man (Thea) who couldn't walk. The crowd which was a bunch of people did the actions. The carriers Sean, Audrey, Jihoo and Jacob carried Thea. After our unceasing effort in singing, acting and reading. I personally think we did really well. Not to mention, our readers were brave and spoke with a loud voice and opened up the show. In the end, the Year 4's did great as long as they did their best and that's all that matters.

On the second of September 2024, the grade 4's held an assembly about the sacrament of healing, also known as Reconciliation. To start it off, me and Anna review why the sacrament of penance is important to our everyday lives. Next, Jozsef and Mischa told the audience that we should forgive each other because God forgives us. After that, Isabella and Adrian talked about why we should look up to Jesus and see how he was a good friend. A few seconds later after Adrian finished talking to the crowd, the music started playing while the actors dramatically acted out the story of the paralised man from the bible. Jaylen, who was Jesus, was acting to the crowd. The paralised man who was Thea, got carried by four carriers. The carrieres were Jacob, Jihoo, Sean and Audrey. Everyone else was singing and pointing to Jaylen. After the clapping died down, Hayden said a prayer about asking God to help us be more loving to one another.

Our grade four assembly was really good. We have been exploring the importance of reconciliation. Reconciliation means making things right again. Sometimes it means forgiveness and other times it means finding a new way together. In the Bible, God's forgiveness is the example we should follow. It keeps our friendships strong. Our friendships should be like the friendship of Jesus.

During the assembly, we did a play about Jesus healing the paralyzed man. Jaylen from our class did a great job as Jesus. Jesus' kindness and forgiveness is so strong, he was able to heal the disabled man. It worked out really well.
