Year 6 Charity Fete

Last Friday, our school grounds buzzed with excitement and creativity during our much-anticipated Charity Fete. As part of their Economics and Business Inquiry unit, our Year 6 students took on the challenge of planning and running their own stalls, showcasing their entrepreneurial spirit and teamwork.
The fete featured an impressive array of attractions, from vibrant art and craft stalls showcasing handmade creations to engaging carnival games that delighted participants of all ages. There was also a popular face painting booth where students transformed into everything from tigers to butterflies, and a lively photobooth capturing memorable moments with fun props. Additionally, the lucky dip and raffle ticket stalls added an element of surprise and excitement for everyone involved.
Our students from Foundation through to Year 5 were invited to visit the fete and their excitement was palpable as they explored the various stalls and activities. Each stall, meticulously designed and managed by the Year 6 groups, reflected their creativity and dedication.
The highlight of the day was the sense of purpose behind the event, as all the funds raised from these activities will be donated to charities chosen by each Year 6 class. This not only gave the students a practical experience in managing a business but also instilled a sense of social responsibility, showcasing their commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
