Year 3 Sacrament of First Holy Communion

On the weekend I had my First Communion. I wore a white dress with silver clips, white earrings and white shoes. While we were waiting, we watched a movie called Turbo in Foundation Eatwell. At the start we sat down waiting for the Mass to start. I felt a little nervous but excited about receiving my First Holy Communion. I read the First Reading at Mass and I felt very excited. A little while after the prayers of the faithful it was the time to receive the host for the first time. I liked the bread, it tasted special. After everyone received their Communion the Mass ended and we took more photos. I took photos with my grandparents and my friends.

A few days ago I made my First Holy Communion. I wore a blue blazer with white pants with a blue shirt. I went to the Performing Arts to get my photo taken. We watched a movie while we were waiting for the group photo. Then we finally walked over to the church to begin the Mass. I felt nervous. We walked to our seats to get ready for the readings. I read the Gospel Acclamation. I was nervous and excited at the same time. We got Holy Communion for the first time. The Mass was nice. After the Mass my mum took too many photos then we got Hungry Jacks. I enjoyed the day.

On Sunday I had my First Holy Communion. I wore a white dress with silver sequins on the puffy bit, white shoes with silver stars on it and silver glinting earrings.
I was nervous and excited at the same time. After I had my photo, I went into a classroom and watched a funny movie called Turbo with my friends who were also making their First Holy Communion at that time. We also took a group photo together. Soon it was time to head to the church. We lined up and started to chat as we made our way to the church. We sat down and the Mass started. We watched some other students do the readings and the Psalm. Soon it was time for me to do the Prayers of the Faithful. I was nervous but I read with confidence with my voice wavering a little bit. Then we started to move forward to receive the body of Jesus Christ from Father Andrew. It tasted a bit plain but special. After that we went back to our seats then knelt down and started to pray.
