School Advisory Council (SAC)

It’s hard to believe that we are almost at the end of Term 3 with the holidays in sight. This term the Good Shepherd Advisory Council’s work has been centred around SchoolImprovement Data as well as participating in the School Review Process, an integral part of school development, improvement and growth.

I thank all parents who met with the reviewer to provide feedback. The MACSSIS survey is another way for parents to provide feedback to the school community and I strongly encourage parents to contribute to this process. Thank you to families who have already participated.

The SAC also gained insight into the Business and Finance aspect of a school through a presentation from the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Business Manager. This was a highly beneficial presentation for all members and gave us great insight into the nature of funding, distribution of resources and setting of school fees.

It was lovely to hear from key Leaders in the school and their vision for our SacramentalProgram as well as the Professional Learning focus for teaching staff as they unpack the Vision for Instruction.

I wish each member of the Good Shepherd Community a restful joy filled break and looking forward to Term 4.
