Student Wellbeing 

In Year One, we have been learning that mindfulness helps us pay attention to the present moment and our thoughts. The students have enjoyed doing different mindfulness activities to help us all stay focused on tasks and reduce anxiety. 

 

We have been learning about mindfulness and how to calm down. We have been doing things like mindful colouring, drawing, reading, mediating, yoga and belly breathing. We use The Resilience Project to do some lessons and it teaches us how to calm down. This is why we went to the Botanic Gardens!

The Year Ones have also revisited things that we are grateful for! Here is a wonderful “Thankful Tree” which features one thing students are thankful for.
