From the Acting Principal
A Heartfelt Thank You
A huge thank you to all the parents who generously helped transport our wonderful props to the theatre yesterday. There were quite a few, and the extra vans and parent help with loading and unloading were truly amazing! We also want to extend a special thanks to Sara Biviano, who dedicated many hours to turning the children's prop ideas into reality. The props looked incredible on stage!
Your help is greatly appreciated, and we couldn’t have done it without you!
What a Wonderful Night!
What a fantastic night the concert was! The students, along with their teachers, collaborated to write the play based on their learning from the term—a great effort all around. Concerts provide students with a unique way to present their learning and an opportunity to showcase different talents, whether through acting, backstage management, or singing.
And what talented singers some of our children are! Congratulations to all our students who participated in so many ways—writing, performing, choreography, backstage work, costumes, and of course, singing. It was a truly amazing night, and we are incredibly proud of our talented students.
St Bede's Footy Day - Thursday 19th September
Next Thursday is the annual St Bede's Footy Day! All students are encouraged to come to school dressed in their footy gear or team colors. Throughout the day, classes will engage in some fun football-related activities, and Mr. Walsh will treat us to football songs for everyone to sing along to.
It’s sure to be a fantastic day celebrating the excitement of the footy finals!
Grade 1/ 2 Camp
Next Thursday, we are excited to host the Grade 1/2 Camp, a special event designed to give our younger students a fun and safe introduction to school camps. The evening kicks off with a sporting activity followed by an exciting incursion featuring a magician. After that, all students will enjoy a pizza dinner together.
At the end of the evening, Grade 1 students will head home, while Grade 2 students will continue the fun by watching a movie before settling down to sleep in their classrooms. This experience helps prepare them for the camps they will participate in from Grades 3 to 6.
It promises to be a memorable night filled with excitement and a sense of adventure!
St Bede's is a SunSmart School
At St Bede's, we are committed to ensuring the health and well-being of our students by promoting sun safety. As a SunSmart school, our policy encourages the following:
- Slap on a sun-protective hat:
All students and staff are required to wear hats that protect their face, neck, and ears (legionnaire, broad-brimmed, or bucket hats) whenever they are outside from mid-August to the end of April. Peak caps and visors are not considered a suitable alternative.
As the UV rating is on the rise, please ensure that your child brings their school hat every day to stay SunSmart!
MACSIS Surveys
A friendly reminder to the families who received an invitation to complete the MACSIS survey. The survey remains open until next Friday, 20th September. We greatly appreciate your time in completing this and providing valuable feedback to help us continue improving our school.
Thank you for your participation!
