Principals' Message
Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Pride, Optimism
Hello Parents and Friends,
We would like to thank everyone in our school community for a fantastic Term 3. There have been so many achievements and we are so grateful for the hard work and commitment by all members of our learning community.
We encourage you to read about our outstanding Maths Talent Quest results and student involvement at the John Monash Science School in the 'Learning @ TPPS' section of our newsletter. A huge congratulations goes to Prep TF!
We wish you all a safe and happy school holiday period.
Take care and see you all on Monday 7th of October.
Change of Office Hours from Term 4 to 8:00am – 4:00pm
After a review of our office traffic, we have made the decision to change our office hours from 8:30am – 4:30pm to 8:00am – 4:00pm from Term 4. Quite often our office staff are receiving parent calls and making arrangements for the day from 8:00am. This change of time will provide greater assistance for families and allow our office staff to work their set hours rather than starting early each day.
Parking and Driving in Jacobena Place
It has been reported to the school by parents and community members that some parents have been speeding in Jacobena Place just above the Council park. This is a very busy drop off and pick up point and we ask our community to drive slowly and follow all road laws.
Return of Elena Karabatsos in Term 4
We are pleased to inform the community that Mrs Elena Karabatsos will be returning to Templestowe Park in Term 4. Elena has been on maternity leave for the past 18 months and will return two days a week in Term 4. Elena will release Mr Jared Kitney one day per week so he can fulfil his mathematics leadership role, and also undertake teaching and administer student assessments across the school for the other day. We look forward to welcoming Elena back to TPPS.

As published on Compass this week, all remaining uniform stock at our onsite store is now 75% off. This is a great saving for our community and we encourage all parents to take the opportunity to stock up on our old uniform. Both the old and new uniform can be worn until the 2026 school year.

Principals’ Award
At last week’s assembly we were so pleased to present the Principals’ Award to Ellie K in Grade 5M. Ellie always shows enthusiasm for learning, is the first to transition from her desk to the carpet, eagerly diving into new tasks. During Literacy lessons she has produced brilliant written responses to our Big Questions on astronomy. Her approach to challenges is marked by a growth mindset and she tackles each lesson with curiosity and perseverance.
Ellie has taken part in the Little Scientists, Big Science program at John Monash Science School. When working with her Prep buddy she always models mature behaviour and looks after younger students during recess and lunch. Ellie is respectful to all of her peers and teachers, has a great sense of humour and is a great role model to other students. Congratulations, Ellie! We are so proud of you.
