Year 12 Key Information 

• The Swimming Carnival was the last college event for our Year 12s, and it was truly enjoyable to see all students involved in the House spirit.
   
• Please note that the Schoolies program, facilitated by Red Frogs, will be held during Sports on Tuesday. A parental acknowledgment slip has been distributed for your reference—please email any concerns regarding your child's participation in this information session.
   
• The external examination dates are now available on the QCAA website and have been communicated to all students. Please ensure that your child is aware of their scheduled exam times. Formal uniforms and appropriate personal grooming standards are required when attending exams at the college. Students should dedicate time to revising to ensure they are prepared and achieve success in their final assessments. Students should speak with their teachers if they require support or have questions over the next two weeks.

Whole of College Key Information

• Monday, October 7, is the King's Birthday Public Holiday. We hope you enjoy this final long weekend for the year, with students returning on Tuesday, October 8.
   
• It was beautiful to share in a high tea and celebrate our wonderful grandparents this week at our first assembly for Term 4. We loved hearing from Year 7 student Reid Slatcher, grandparent Mrs Jan O'Donnell and Campus Minister Mrs Helena Tutoe at the event. 
   
• It was excellent to see so many students return this week, meeting the college expectations regarding uniforms and personal grooming. Thank you, parents/carers, for your continued support in strengthening our community at St Mary's. This is a reminder that further responses may be necessary from the Junior and Senior Secondary Assistant Principals for students who do not meet these expectations. 
   
• Best of luck to the students representing the college this weekend at the Queensland All Schools Touch Competition. We look forward to hearing about your success.
   
• Next week, our pastoral team will host Mental Health Week. This is a fantastic week for students to get involved in various activities that challenge their thinking and provide resources on strengthening their own personal skills to maintain good mental health. Should your child require additional support, we have an excellent team of counsellors at the college. Please reach out to us! 
   
• We have our final whole college assembly next week before our Year 12s head off to external exams. At this time, we will pass on our best wishes for the Year 12s and look forward to welcoming them back to the Graduation Mass on November 13.
