Deputy Principal Staff and Students Report

Concerns

The Child Safety Team has been working on increasing the ways students and Parents/Guardians and Carers can raise issues and concerns. To facilitate another way that can be done online we have created a concerns link. This link is available on SiMON and is also here: https://nazarethcollege.snapforms.com.au/form/concerns

Clicking on this link takes you to a form to fill in and detail your concern. This form then goes to the relevant staff members for follow up. We hope this will help Parents/Guardian and Carers with student communication and lead to further school improvement.

As a school that values Child Safety it is important students feel they have a voice, are heard and can raise concerns. This of course can be done face to face, or via an email. We hope this form, by giving another way to raise concerns, can help to further improve our school.

Student Fundraiser

One of our Year 12 College Captains has been organising a fundraiser. The key details are below:

Casual Dress Day, Monday, 19 May 2025: Fundraising, $3.00 donation

Support Cancer Research and Treatment by Wearing a Colour that Matters.

As most of us know, cancer rates have increased over the years. This is your call to action.

A Casual Dress Day will be held on Monday, 19 May 2025.  Please bring in $3 and Pastoral Teachers will collect the money in the morning.

But this is not just any casual dress day — dress in a specific colour, because different colours represent different types of cancer. You can also include ribbons and accessories to show your support. See the documents attached.

Where does this money go? All proceeds will go to Cancer Council Victoria, helping fund both cancer research and treatment. Research has already improved survival rates for more common cancers by 30% over the past three decades.

The Colours are attached.

Staff Professional Learning Day, Wednesday 21 May 2025

Please be aware this is a Student Free Day. There will be no classes, no school and the office will be closed, as all staff will be on campus for Professional Development all day.

Middle of the Term

As we move into the middle part of the term it is a good time to be reassessing our goals. We encourage Parents/Guardians  and Carers to talk to your children about their study, their goals, their progress and how you as parents and we as school staff can support them in achieving their goals.

Please do not hesitate to contact the College if there are ways we can support your child’s learning and achievement of goals.

We pray for the grace to persevere, keep working to develop all of the many gifts and talents God has Blessed us with for His glory and the building up of His Kingdom for all. We pray also for the grace to know and be more grateful for the gifts we have.

God Bless.
