Examination Preparation

Year 9, 10 and 11 students will be undertaking examinations soon. Students should be preparing by undertaking revision for each subject. Some great tools for revision are available for free. Quizzlet provides study cards that can be customised for each subject. Kahoot is a website where revision quizzes can be constructed and undertaken. Mind mapping tools such as Canva are also worth investigating. Students undertaking VCE subjects all have access to the Edrolo videos and practice tasks. 

Trial GAT for VCE Unit 3 and 4 Students and for VCE VM Students

On Tuesday 13 May, all VCE Unit 3 and 4 and VCE VM students undertook a practice General Achievement Task (GAT). The purpose of the practice test was to familiarise students with the requirements of the GAT. I thank Ms Marjoleine Dekker, Ms Vicky Lazaridis and Ms Julie Carlin for their work making this happen.

Professional Learning Day for Teachers 21 May

Nazareth College teachers will be engaging in Professional Learning about the Vision for Instruction on 21 May. There will be no classes for students this day. The aim of the Professional Learning will be for teachers to learn more about effective evidence based teaching practices and to see how these practices look in the classroom. I thank Mr Chris Brown for his work preparing for the day, and I thank the teachers who have agreed to have their class filmed and run workshops on the day.
