From the P & F

Dear Parents and Friends,

The commencement of the second term has been both dynamic and rewarding. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all parents for their invaluable support and contributions. Our school community continues to demonstrate remarkable generosity and dedication.

One of the key objectives of the Parents and Friends (P&F) Committee is to raise funds for school equipment and facilitate engaging events such as Mother’s Day, Grandparents’ Day, and Father’s Day. Over the past two years, our primary focus has been the development of a new playground, and we are pleased to report significant progress, with designs finalised, plans approved, and successful tenders secured.

However, due to construction costs exceeding initial estimates, our original completion target for the second term has been adjusted. Negotiations with builders are ongoing to ensure the best balance between cost-efficiency, high-quality structures, and stringent safety measures for our children. To date, we have successfully raised approximately $76,000 for the project—a truly commendable achievement. While we understand the anticipation, we appreciate your patience as we work towards breaking ground in the coming weeks.

Looking ahead, both the P&F Committee and the school have planned additional fundraising initiatives. Our next event, the Colour Run, was a tremendous success last year, and we aim to make this year’s event even bigger and better. Sponsorships from family and friends for participating children are greatly appreciated. Additionally, further details on upcoming events, including a school disco, will be shared later in the year. We encourage parents to share any additional ideas by reaching out to a P&F member.

For more information regarding playground developments or financial aspects of our fundraising efforts, we invite you to attend the P&F meeting this term (Tuesday 17 June at 2pm).

Once again, thank you for your ongoing support and dedication to our school community.

Warm regards,

Sean Sheridan

P&F President
