Assistant Principal Report

Healthy Mind, Healthy Body

The evidence supporting the notion of “healthy mind, healthy body” is compelling.

It is pleasing to observe numerous students participating in a variety of physical activities during recess and lunch breaks, engaging in everything from games on our Junior School downball courts to activities on our oval and artificial basketball/soccer courts.

This vibrant environment also includes our weekly Thursday netball tournament, showcasing a wealth of physical activity.

In the first week of this term, our school leaders organised a special ANZAC Day assembly, effectively led by Anna Harper, Bek Howarth, Jack Harper, and Zach Bissett.

The ceremony, conducted by Jack Harper, underscored the significance of ANZAC Day and explored the noteworthy history associated with this important date on our calendar.

Additionally, Anna Harper, serving as a Company Commander at her Army Cadet Unit (31ACU), delivered a heartfelt tribute to commemorate ANZAC Day.

This year, we are introducing Unit 3 examinations for all our Year 12 subjects, running parallel to our Unit 1 (Year 11) semester exams.

We believe this will provide a significant opportunity for our Year 12 students to revisit essential concepts covered to date, ensuring they can clarify concepts with their teachers that may still be unclear.
