DISTRICT CROSS COUNTRY TEAM 2025
On Friday 9th May, our team of 50 students travelled to Mirrabooka Reserve in Blackburn to compete in the 2025 Monash Heights District competition.
The first 20 runners from each race qualified for the Division level competition. All our students were striving to finish in this top group for their races and were determined to gain every point they possibly could for the school. Needless to say, there were mixed feelings of excitement and nerves upon arrival. The weather was perfect for this event, clear blue sunny skies. All students successfully completed the course this year and we’re pleased to say there were no injuries or other medical issues.
The overall results for the Monash Heights District Cross Country Competition were:
1st - Essex Heights 400 2nd - Mt Waverley 428
3rd - Mt Scopus 445 4th - Jells Park 472
5th - Burwood East 581 6th - Wheelers Hill 613
With all students who placed in the top 20 progressing through, it means we have 16 students at the Monash Waverley Division competition, being held again at Mirrabooka Reserve, Blackburn on Wednesday May 28th from 10.00 - 11.30 am. Well done to all our Wheelers Hill 2025 Cross Country runners!
