Breakfast Club

If you would like your child to make use of our yummy breakfast foods, send them to school that bit earlier so they will have time to eat and enjoy their food. We serve toast until the music is playing for the start of the school day. Please remind your child that if they want to have something to eat before school that they need to head straight down to the German Room. While the music for the bell is playing there are only fruit cups and milk drinks available.

Food Pantry

The food pantry is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons between 2:30 and 3:30pm. Please note the pantry will close early on Monday’s. We have a range of foods, including gluten and lactose free items and on Wednesday’s we have fresh carrots and fruit, apples, pears and oranges. If you are in need of a pantry top up please stop by and pick something up.

Free uniform

This week we held a free uniform sale. We have a lot of second hand uniform in stock and we were very pleased to see many families taking advantage of the opportunity to stock up on uniform for the cooler months ahead. We still have, plenty left. If you need extra uniform items, send us an email and we will arrange that for you.

Young and Free

I’m currently reading a book call The Wild and Free Family. It speaks of ideas that encourage the reader to consider the culture of your family and to allow children to be children. It is common for parents to include children in the struggles of adult life these days, it is far better to keep children a little sheltered from the biggest of struggles in our lives to allow them the freedom to grow in a space that feels secure. Children can easily develop anxiety when their carers share all their burdens with their child, they usually don’t have someone to take that burden to and it stays with them. The author also encourages readers to reclaim the wonder of childhood. Stop and look, take time to enjoy the simple things in life. Allow your child and yourself the chance to wonder together, simply put, stop and smell the roses.
