denti - teeth

SPORT

This term in Sport we are focusing on athletics, with netball to come later in the term.

Athletics has started with a focus on running: sprints form, baton changes, and of course, long distance running where we've learned to pace ourselves and keep a relaxed gait.

CROSS COUNTRY

Our annual Cross Country event arrived with glorious weather for running around the track at Brose Reserve, Tongala.  We are so lucky to be able to run it as a whole-school event, and the excited atmosphere was contagious!

Almost every child participated on the day, and it was so pleasing to see and hear students encouraging their peers to do their best.  There was even some adorable handholding by our F/1/2/ competitors.  Fantastic sportsmanship was displayed after every single event, because as we all know - there can only be one winner on the day!

Congratulations to the children who made the podium, and also to those who improved from last year and did their best.  The happy faces speak for themselves.

Many thanks to all the staff who helped run such a fantastic event, and to all the parents and friends who came to watch.  Thank you also to our Fundraising Committee who purchased the flash new St Pat's marquee that we could proudly put on display.

ART

Back into the art room for the start of term and we've been straight into making some special creations for our beautiful mums and special women in our lives. We can't share too much as we want them to be a surprise but they've been made with lots of thought and love so we hope the wonderful women love them!
