Mother's Day Stall Thank You

A very big thank you to everyone who helped to make last Friday's Mother's Day Stall a success, especially Bec Ciavarella and Taleera De Pasquale for coordinating the stall and volunteers.

Thank you also to all volunteers who helped at the stall on the day. Our primary students had a wonderful morning shopping for the special women in their lives.

Senior Secondary Pathway Information Evening - 4th June

Our Senior Secondary Pathways and Subject Selection information session will be held on Wednesday 4th June at 6.00pm in the Brigidine Centre.

All Years 8, 9 and 10 students and their families/caregivers are invited to attend this session, where the various pathways - VCE, VCE VM, VET and subjects - 9/10 Electives and VCE subjects, and the subject selection process will be outlined.

Students and parents/caregivers will have the opportunity to meet and speak with our Learning Leaders across all subject areas and VET providers from across the district.

Current Year 11 students and families are welcome to attend, however the emphasis of the evening will be on subject selection and pathways for Years 9-11 in 2026.

Last year’s event was a great success, with over 200 9-12 Community members in attendance. We encourage all students and families to attend this event to take advantage of the opportunity to discuss pathways and subjects as they enter the 2026 subject selection phase.

Important Reminders for Our Community:

  • School Drop-off and Pick-up

Please ensure students arrive at school between 8:30 and 8.45am and arrange pick up for before 3:30 pm. The College offers limited supervision outside of these times.

  • School Crossing Safety Reminder

A reminder that students should be picked up from Church Street or Tulloh Street, where there is a designated school crossing, to ensure the safety of our students. Please avoid collecting students from McCormick Road as there is no designated crossing.

  • School Office Visits

All visitors must report to the College Office before entering any areas of the school (outside of school drop-off and pick-up times). This ensures a safe and secure environment for everyone.

  • Communicating with Staff

We have had the privilege of meeting with parents and connecting with families on various occasions across the Term. At St Augustine’s College, we deeply value these opportunities to strengthen our partnerships and work together in support of our students. We recognise that parents are the first educators of their children and play a vital role in shaping their behaviours, both positive and challenging. Open and honest communication is key to fostering a supportive school environment, and we are grateful for a parent community that shares our commitment to nurturing each child’s growth and development.

We ask that parents engage in conversations with our staff with respect, trust in our processes and support the follow-up actions necessary for their child’s development and wellbeing. Similar expectations exist in many other organisations and by working together with mutual respect and understanding, we can continue to provide a safe, positive and thriving learning environment for all.

Our staff are on site and available during the following times:

Monday:  8:30am - 3:45pm

Tuesday: 8:30am - 4:30pm

Wednesday: 8:30am - 4:30pm

Thursday: 8:30am - 3:45pm

Friday: 8:15am - 3:45pm

However, whilst these are the working times, our staff are busy organising and planning lessons, teaching classes and/or engaged in relevant staff meetings. We ask that if you wish to make contact with your child’s teacher, please contact your child’s TA for a meeting.

Communication via email is also appropriate during work hours, however please allow staff up to 48 hours to respond.

We thank you for your consideration in this matter.
