Assistant Principals' Report

Hello everyone and welcome to our newsletter article,

Today is National Walk Safely to School Day. Now in its 26th year, National Walk Safely to School Day (WSTSD) is an annual event when all Primary School children will be encouraged to walk and commute safely to school. It is a Community Event seeking to promote Road Safety, Health, Public Transport and the Environment.

We had 280 students participate which is more than half of our students. Thank you to our SRC, teachers Leigh and Nicola for your organisation of the event together with parent helpers who gave out tattoos this morning at the gates.

This week our Year 6 students, staff and parent helpers had a successful 4 day camp at Camp Kangaroobie. The weather was excellent, whilst the mornings were chilly, the days were clear and sunny. The range of activities on this camp are fantastic and really challenge the students to demonstrate initiative, leadership, curiosity, team work and kindness. Well done to all involved in the organisation of this camp.

Please see some lovely photos of the fantastic work happening around our school over the past few weeks.

Have a lovely weekend and week ahead.
