Dear Parents and Carers,

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students, we would like to remind families of our supervision procedures before and after school, in line with the Child Safe Standards.

Before School – Breakfast Club and Supervision

  • Breakfast Club operates from 8:00am. All students arriving from 8:00am onwards MUST attend Breakfast Club, they should not be left unsupervised at the front of the school. *Please note the school grounds include all the area at the front of the school within the blue lined areas.

  • Students arriving before 8:00am must be booked into Camp Australia Before School Care, as there is no teacher supervision in the yard prior to this time. From 8:30am onwards, students may enter the school grounds as a staff member will be on yard duty from this time. Students are expected to go directly to their lockers and prepare for the day.

After School – Supervision and Collection

  • School dismissal is at 3:00pm.

  • Yard duty supervision ends at 3:15pm. After this time, students are unsupervised.

  • Please arrange to meet your child in the yard or in front of the administration building. Students should exit via the gate, not through the office/reception area, as the office is a working area and multiple children walking through can cause disruption..
  • Students must be collected by 3:30pm at the latest. If not collected by this time, parents/carers will be contacted.

  • If you are unable to collect your child by this time on a regular basis, they must be booked into Kelly Club Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) program.
  • In a one-off situation, please call the office to inform staff you are running late.

Kelly Club OSHC Program

  • The OSHC program is run by Kelly Club, located adjacent to the gym.
  • Even if you don’t plan to use the program regularly, we strongly recommend registering in advance. This ensures your child can attend in case of an emergency or unexpected delay.
  • For more information, please visit The Kelly Club room or contact the school office.
  • Visit kellyclub.com.au/brookside

Thank you for your ongoing support in ensuring our school remains a safe and supervised place for all students.

Parents and Carers, please LABEL all items of school uniform. Already we have lots of lost items without names. We cannot return items if they are not labelled with the student’s name. If your child has lost something the lost property is located just inside the foyer of the administration offices to the right of the Attendance Office. Students can check lost property at lunchtimes and recess, before and after school.

Thankyou
