College Advisory Committee Meeting - 18 November 2025

By Stuart Turner - Parent Representative

On Tuesday, 18 November the final College Advisory Committee Meeting for the year was held. Once again we discussed a wide range of topics relating to the College community.

One of the highlights from the meeting was hearing from students who attended the Santa Teresa Immersion. They passionately talked about their experiences from the journey into a beautiful part of the country and their connections with the community members they met. Learning about the real world helped our students engage with the Santa Teresa community, leaving us with a sense of pride.

As a group we also toured around the recently completed “Campus Heart”, discussing how this area is positively effecting student life and how it will tie into the future growth of the College.

The discussion about the NAPLAN results and comparisons, was quite interesting. Looking at the data of NAPLAN and how it is being used to help and improve the learning outcomes for all the students.

A recap of the Community Open Day celebrating the College's 50th Anniversary, was a fitting way to end the year with the College Advisory Committee. The day was a great success (even despite the poor weather conditions). It showcased the past 50 years of the College with nostalgia and memorabilia, alongside current students and their achievements.

Heading towards the new year I would encourage any member of the College community with an interest in helping the College to attend and join the wonderful group of staff and parents who are part of the College Advisory Committee.
