Dear Families,
At St Therese's, our vision is simple: do all that you do with love. We aspire to provide a faith-filled, safe, respectful and welcoming community where everyone thrives. There has been a lot of love in the school over the last few days. The staff spent Tuesday and Wednesday engaged in professional learning with the primary focus on the personal and social development of the children. We were left feeling enthused in our learning but ready for the classrooms to be filled with children again.
As the grade one through to six students made their way into the school yesterday, it was a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do. It was lovely to watch them interact with friends and say hello to their teachers, past and present, and there were not many sad faces - everyone seemed so eager to be back at school. Our grade 6 students looked so smart in their new hoodies and polos but I did have to make them promise to take the hoodies off as the temperature rose!
This morning I had the pleasure of welcoming the newest members of the St Therese's family through the gates. Our Foundation students arrived, most with big smiles and a few looking a little nervous. The uniforms that still look a little big and the struggles with the school bags was a reminder of how much these little people will grow this year and what a privilege it will be for the staff to be part of their journey.

To celebrate our first week back, or in the case of our Foundation students - their first day of school, everyone had a zooper dooper this afternoon. A little treat and something cool to help after a warm lunch time. Judging by the photos, it looks like they were a hit!

St Agatha's Feast Day Celebrations
St Agatha's Parish will be celebrating the Feast of St Agatha on Sunday 8th February. The celebrations will begin with 10.45am Mass followed by a procession of the St Agatha’s statue. Weather permitting, the parish will share a multicultural lunch outside in the parish car park near the parish hall. Parishioners are encouraged to bring food from their culture to share at the celebration. Parishioners can find sign up clipboards in the Church foyer. It would be wonderful to see members of the St Therese's community at this celebration, we are part of St Agatha's parish after all.
Thank you for a wonderful start to the term, I look forward to working in partnership with you all this year.
Kind Regards,
Felicity Broughton
