Welcome to Green Room with Years 3, 4 and 5

Hello! I’m Samuel Gullo, and I will be working alongside our wonderful SLSO, Nicky, this year. In Green Room, students will be exploring Literacy, Mathematics, HSIE, Science, PDHPE, and CAPA.

Last week, we focused on settling into the classroom and establishing expectations. Alongside this, students participated in some exciting activities—one highlight being our S.T.E.M challenge with LEGO!

Students were tasked with designing a bridge that could hold a certain amount of weight. They started by sketching their ideas, then got hands-on with LEGO to build their creations. To test their bridges, they used objects such as chairs, drink bottles, and even the LEGO boxes themselves. It was fantastic to see their creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork in action!
