I’m thrilled to be stepping into the role of Performing Arts teacher at BPPS this year. Many of you will know me from my years in the classroom, but what you may not know is that I’ve spent a great deal of my life under stage lights; singing, acting, and embracing all things theatrical (even if it has been a little while since my last official bow).

This term, we’ll be diving into a Drama focus, linking our learning to the themes of the books students are exploring with their classroom teachers. It’s a wonderful way to bring stories to life, deepen our understanding of texts and give students the chance to engage with different worlds with confidence and creativity.

I’ll also be running the BPPS School Choir, with more information about rehearsals and performance dates coming home via Compass. Further, if your child has a particular passion for singing, acting, dancing - or all three in a glorious triple‑threat combination - I’d love to hear about it.

Keep an eye out for assembly performances throughout the year, where students will have the chance to showcase their creativity and shine on stage.

I’m genuinely excited for a vibrant year in Performing Arts and can’t wait to see our students light up the room in their own unique ways.
