Division Swimming 9-13 years.

We have our biggest swim team to ever represent Delacombe PS at the Sovereign Division Swimming Sports that will be held at Eureka Aquatic Centre on Friday 1st March. Thank you to Charlotte, Matt, Isabel, Huon, Bella, Chloe, Ollie and Iesha. These are 50m events. Entries close on Thursday 22nd Feb so see Mr Storey asap if you are keen.

MDASA 9yrs & Under 25m Encouragement Swim Meet.

Midlands District Amateur Swimming Association will be holding it’s annual 9yrs & Under 25m Encouragement Swim Meet on Thursday 14th March at the 25m pool in the Ballarat Aquatic & Lifestyle Centre.  Well done to Ollie and Hudson for entering this event. If you would like your child to compete then please see Mr Storey or check the information posted on Compass.

Grade 3-6 House Sports.

Our annual House Sports for grade 3-6 will be held on Thursday 7th March on our school oval. Please save this date. All family members are welcome to come and support and cheer on the students on that day. Students are practising the events in PE classes in preparation for this day. Triple Jump is being measured in PE classes and the scores for this event will be added to the students score cards before the day. High Jump and 1500m are both optional events and trials will be ran during school lunch times. Please see the table of events in this edition of the newsletter for more information.

Sporting Schools.

Sporting Schools begins this week for the students who are enrolled in the activities. Athletics is on Thursdays for grade 3 and 4. Grade 5 and 6 students have Soccer on Fridays.
