“All ideas grow out of other ideas” ~ Anish Kapoor

This term we have been deep sea diving in the Art room…well not literally, but within our amazing, imaginations! All students from Grades Prep through to Grade 6 have been looking at our Great Barrier Reef, and using it, alongside Ken Done’s unique artistic style, to create their own version of, “Under the Sea”. This focus provides students with a platform to work from, whilst celebrating their own unique ideas.

The Grades 3 and 4 students explored the simple concept of colour, to create this amazing collaborative artwork. Using the concept, of, “Watch us soar in 2024!”, their individual artworks, were combined to create two large wings. Here at Delacombe Primary School, we are proud of our high standards and want all of our students to develop their self-confidence, so that they always believe in themselves and their abilities to reach their full potential.
