We would like to welcome you and your child to Year 7 at Lilydale High School. The Junior School Office has an open-door policy and students are welcome to come in and discuss any queries or concerns they may have.
We have sporting equipment for students to borrow during recess and lunch and a number of lunchtime activities for students to participate in.
On Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 February, Parent morning teas were held and parents and carers had the opportunity to meet with their child's teachers and discuss how they were settling in.
The Year 7s also had their Thriving in Community sessions on these days, where they learned about our school values, their rights and responsibilities and upcoming opportunities in Year 7.
The Year 7 Phillip Island camp is coming up Week 1, Term 2;
Camp 1 (7A - 7G) - 15 April to 17 April
Camp 2 (7H - 7N) - 17 April to 19 April
Payment of $350 is due on Compass by Wednesday 13 March.
This camp is an essential component of student orientation into Year 7 at Lilydale High School. Students will engage in a variety of FUN activities, focusing on confidence building, leadership, friendships and teamwork. They will also attend the Penguin Parade and Churchill Farm.
It is our pleasure to formally introduce our Year 8 Captains for 2024:
Year 8 Captains
Sigourney Crocker and Callum Eade
Year 8 Vice Captains
Tahney Mitchell and Axel Cove
Captain applications for Year 7 students CLOSE on Wednesday 28 February.
Students apply ONLINE, by following the link on their Compass Newsfeed.
Thank you to everybody who has applied so far! Please keep an eye out as interviews will follow soon.
At Lilydale High School we have plenty of choices when it comes to lunchtime activities!
The activities fill a need for students who wish to try out and experience something new, learn new skills, meet up with other students from different year levels, make new friends, develop teamwork and become more independent.
When the lunchtime bell sounds.....there are plenty of activities to choose from!

YARN CLUB
Learn how to knit or crochet with Ms Hemmings. Perhaps start making a scarf for winter?
If parents or carers have any unwanted wool or knitting/crochet needles, they would like to donate to the Yarn Club, that would be wonderful.
Please don’t hesitate to call us or your child’s teacher, with any questions or queries in relation to Junior School.
If you wish to meet with a Year 7 or 8 Coordinator, it is recommended to call and make an appointment first, as coordinators are often teaching or dealing with student issues.
