Snapshots from Springvale Campus
It has been a great pleasure and a privilege to start this year in a role of the Acting Assistant Principal on Springvale Campus. I really look forward to working with the rest of the Principal Team and helping our school community in this new capacity.
Springvale Campus has had a busy couple of weeks. The teachers have finalised their beginning of the year assessments and have been working in teams to analyse the data and determine all the students’ learning needs. They are getting together every week to plan lots fun learning activities for the students to engage in and the students are already making progress in leaps and bounds!
Our next group of student leaders have been announced and presented with their certificates and badges.

I would like to give a special mention to our Foundation Learning Centre who have started their full weeks as primary school students. They are developing their social skills and making friends as well as doing a fabulous job developing their literacy and numeracy skills, including letters, sounds, counting and number recognition. Foundation Family Fun Day was bucket-loads of fun and a great way to get the families together to enjoy activities such as the petting zoo, magic show, team games and a picnic lunch!
Starting from next week, our Grade 3 and Grade 5 students will be participating in NAPLAN. The Reading, Writing, Conventions of Language and Numeracy tests will provide important information about what each student can do and will be used to support teaching and learning programs. To help you child do their best, please make sure they arrive at school on time and have plenty of rest and healthy food before and on test days. This will help to keep their energy levels up!
Take care,
Mrs Mirela Karup
