From the Principal's Desk

The last two weeks have been jam packed with fun and festivities… and lots of learning too!

Family Fun Days

Our Foundation students on both campuses have played host to their families and friends at our annual Family Fun Days. We had magicians, rabbits, chickens, ducks and even a baby calf. Our students and their families had a great time, it was very exciting to see so many family members join us for this extra special event. The Foundation students are now at school full time, they have had such a wonderful start to the school year.

Student Leadership Presentations

Our second round of student leadership presentations took place at the most recent campus assemblies. The Arts Leaders, Language Leaders, Environmental Leaders and House Leaders were all presented, the staff and parents were incredibly proud of the student’s achievement and the way they carried themselves throughout the assembly.

 NAPLAN

NAPLAN testing for Grade 3 and Grade 5 students will begin on Wednesday March 13th. This year, all tests will be online, except for the Grade 3 Writing test which will be a hand written component. Please support your child by getting them to school on time and ensuring they have had a good night’s sleep and breakfast. More information will be shared with Year 3 and Year 5 parents/carer’s.

Cultural Diversity Week / Harmony Day Community Celebration

Just a reminder that our Cultural Diversity Week / Harmony Day celebrations are coming up in Week 8.  More information will be circulated over the next couple of weeks but please pencil it into your plans right now. There will be a yidiki (didgeridoo) performance on each campus and some traditional dancing, followed by a morning tea.

Heights Campus -  Friday March 22nd

Springvale Campus  - Tuesday March 19th

This community celebration is one of our signature events - and we just cannot wait! Don't forget to wear traditional dress or something orange to celebrate Harmony. We hope to see you there!

NOTE: *Once again we will have a professional photographer in attendance.

Stay safe, take care and keep smiling!
