We have had a flying start to Term 1 with many events taking place:

PSSA Basketball Trials

We had a great group of students try out for a spot in the PSSA Quirindi Zone Basketball Trials last Wednesday.  We had 10 students represent Werris Creek and all did an outstanding job. Congratulations to Alex, Ashton, Kaeden Lebron and Tahlia who are through to the next round to trial for the New England Northwest Team on Thursday 21st March in Tamworth.  Notes will be sent home today.  Good Luck in the next round of trials.  We look forward to the outcome of this event.

Quirindi Zone PSSA Swimming Trials

The Quirindi Zone PSSA Swimming Trials were held last Friday 23rd February at Werris Creek Swimming Pool.  There was some outstanding swimming with a very tough field of athletes and all students represented Werris Creek Public School with pride.  Congratulations to Arabella who is through to the New England Northwest Regional Swimming Carnival that will take place on Monday 4th March.  We wish you all the best and look forward to hearing about your efforts at this carnival.

If your child is in Years 5 and 6 and has an interest in participating in any PSSA sporting activities, they will be given a note to fill in and return.  Please note that all notes must be submitted by the due date as late entries will not be accepted.
