Good Morning Parents/Carers

Quirindi Zone PSSA Swimming Carnival

Congratulations to all the students who represented Werris Creek Public School at the Zone swimming carnival on Friday and thank you Mr Wilcox for your support and assistance on the day.  It was a great day for everyone and all students did their best and exhibited great sportsmanship. 

Congratulations to Arabella who will represent the Zone in Armidale in early March for the 50m freestyle event. 

Asthma Plans

Asthma plans. If your son or daughter has been diagnosed by a medical practitioner with asthma they require an updated ASCIA plan with the appropriate medications available at school.  Could you please attend to this as a matter of urgency. We have a number of students with Asthma listed on their enrolment forms however we don't have a plan or any medications for them. 

Colour Run

Our colour run is fast approaching. White is the colour of the day! A rainbow of colour will be the end result. The P&C have kindly offered to cook a sausage sizzle for us before the colour run. I'm sure it will be a great day. 

Walhollow Aboriginal Corporation Health Assessments

Health Consent forms and questionnaire notes will be sent home today from Walhallow Aboriginal Corporation. If your son or daughter received a note they must be returned by Thursday 7th March to the office. Dr Laith will be here on Thursday 14th March.

CPR Training

All staff will participate in CPR training on Thursday afternoon. 

Cooking

Yr 2/3/4O will be cooking with Tina tomorrow and are making quiches for all to enjoy.  They will be sold in the canteen for 50c each.

NAPLAN

NAPLAN will commence Wednesday 13th March, students in Years 3 and 5 have begun to familiarise themselves with the online format of testing this week. 

School Assembly

On Friday at 2:15pm we will be holding our first assembly for the year. 2/3/4O will be presenting an item. Our Swimming Champions will be announced and presented with their medallions and shields.  Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible. 

Absences

Please inform the school at your earliest convenience when your son or daughter is absent from school.  Our Home School Liaison Officer monitors our absences and will contact you should your son or daughter be away without a reasonable excuse.
