Pathways for everyone

This year 60 students from across Years 10-12 enrolled in a VET course as a part of their subject selections. Students were offered a wide range of courses that take place across the Yarra Valley and beyond. The 60 students have enrolments across 18 courses, including Agriculture, Furniture Making, Early Childhood Education and Care, Plumbing, Salon Assistant and Engineering. Building and Construction is offered onsite at Healesville High School, however some dedicated students make the trip to the Box Hill campus of Box Hill Institute each week for the Sound Production and Apparel, Fashion and Textiles courses. Charlotte Richards is attending the Lilydale Campus of Box Hill Institute and has enjoyed her course so far. "I started Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance this year. I've really enjoyed making new friends and learning how to become a health care worker". The onsite Building and Construction students have already taken part in a number of practical activities and are lucky to have our experienced trainers, Sandy Swankie and Paul Tunne working with and supporting them.
