Weekend Wrap Up

Another busy weekend, starting with an Eaton excursion Friday after dinner.

Saturday saw an excursion to Mandurah for a group of students to undertake surfing lessons.  From all reports students thoroughly enjoyed themselves and learnt quite a lot. The other group of students who didn't go surfing did a Bunnings run to shop for residential supplies.

In the afternoon students spent time playing some very intense games of badminton in the gym, before a BBQ dinner cooked by some student volunteers. A big screen movie was on the cards after dinner, followed by more badminton.

Sunday was more laid back until the returning boarders started to return.

Motor Vehicle Policy

Just a further reminder to all self-driving students, you and your folks have signed off on our Motor Vehicle Driving policy. When returning to site you must report to the front office, unload your gear and passengers,  and then drive alone to park your vehicle in the designated parking space.  Remember to reverse into the parking space, so when leaving at peak departure times,  everyone is driving out forward.

Happenings During the Week

Monday night saw the ongoing basketball competition in town with mixed results across the teams.

Tuesday was busy again with basketball training, town gym, football for both girls and boys.

Mel Taylor supervised some banner and streamer making in preparation for the school swimming carnival, this was well supported by some 20 students. Well done.

Sally Barnden undertook another dorm challenge again on Wednesday evening which again was lots of fun for those who chose to participate.  Students had to find the 60 golf balls which were placed around the College.

Medical

We have had further cases of COVID amongst our Boarders and we therefore are asking our students to be extra vigilant in their hygiene practices.  Protect yourself and others by covering coughs and sneezes, washing hands regularly and not sharing foods, water bottles and cups.  These are all great ways to share germs.

This Closed Weekend

As this weekend is our closed weekend, no students are to return before 3.00pm on Monday 4th March 2024 as staff are not onsite to take the duty of care of the students.

We hope you all enjoy a wonderful long weekend and look forward to the push towards the end of term.
