Student Suspension
Unfortunately, I have had to suspend a couple of students for vaping related issues this week.
The College position is clear in the College Handbook that there will be a suspension of two days and loss of good standing for two weeks in this case.
In a further breach related to vaping, the sanctions will be doubled to a suspension of four days and loss of good standing for four weeks. Continuing onto this a further breach will result in a suspension of six days and loss of good standing for six weeks.
All that said, there is a lot of scientific research that highlights the dangers associated with vaping and the addictive nature of these products. All students suspended for vaping will have to complete a compulsory lesson with the College nurse on their return.
