PE HOCKEY CLINICS :  BAYSIDE HOCKEY CLUB

Last week our Year 3-6 students were very fortunate to have the Bayside Hockey Club visit the school to provide each class with a fun introduction clinic to hockey, and to invite students to come and try a hockey program starting this March.  Students enjoyed a number of modified hockey-related games over their lesson, learning the basics of dribbling, trapping & safety with a hockey stick.

The Hookin2Hockey (H2H) program is a super fun and exciting introduction to field hockey.  It is a program run over several weeks and is designed for Primary School aged boys and girls. It gives participants the opportunity to learn the basic skills of hockey, develop fundamental motor skills and make friends all while beginning their lifelong love of hockey!

Our most local club; Bayside Hockey Club, runs these sessions throughout the year. The March program will be a 4-week program which starts on Wednesday 6th March.  Any child from the age of 7 upwards is keen to give hockey a try, please register by clicking this link.

If U8-U10 participants want to continue their hockey journey after the 4 week introductory program then they can continue in the same Wednesday session free of charge until August. Bayside Hockey Club look forward to welcoming you to their Club and Junior program.  If you have any questions please contact Karen on 0409 449 514 or by email to: admin@baysidehockey.com.au

3 WEEKS TO GO!

WHOLE SCHOOL ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

The big countdown is on for our first whole school sporting carnival for the year!

We have exactly three weeks to go until our Andrew Lesniewski House Athletics Carnival takes place.  This year we will bus students out to the GR Bricker Reserve Athletics track in Moorabbin.

Thank you to the families that have already read and accepted the Operoo permission email for this day.  We ask if this can be done as soon as possible to ensure everyone is all set for this fun day of team-spirit and sporting activities.

PARENT HELPERS - we’ve had a great response so far from a number of parents.   If you are able to help out, please click on the relevant carnival link/s here:
