Honesty

The students have been learning about the school values and this week, they focused on learning more about Honesty. 

VOCABULARY

Values - Principles that help to act and behave. 

Honesty - Being truthful and fair.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

The parents can help to teach their children about the school value of being honest by doing following ideas:

• Read stories about being honest

• Give a snack to your child and let them eat it. After they have finished it, ask them to give it back. This may cause your child to feel a bit confused. Explain to them that the snack symbolises a lie, and once it is taken in, it is hard to take back. You can ask them several questions to process the activity, such as whether they liked the game, if it is possible to justify a lie, or whether they should hide the truth from someone.
