This week, we are learning to read, order and understand the value of numbers from 0-20.

VOCABULARY

Order - Sequencing the numbers such as 1, 2, 3….

Understand - Making meaning. 

Value - How much a number is worth.

Number before: What number comes before. 

Number after: What number comes after.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Try helping your child understand the value of a number using material from home. For example - assist your child to write the number 4, then get your child to count out four pieces of pasta to match the number value. Repeat this activity using numbers from 0-20.
