MPPS Student Values Awards

MPPS Student Values Awards ~ Term 2, Week 9

Students who have demonstrated our school values (Respect, Kindness, Gratitude) are selected from each cohort to receive an award certificate and our new Values wristband to wear to school each day. The students receive this award at a cohort assembly that is conducted twice per term.

Well done to the children below who recieved our new Values award.

Prep

Krishna ~ Krishna, this award goes to you for all the gratitude and kindness you share - but mostly for the RESPECT you show towards others! You listen quietly and attentively to the thoughts and opinions of your peers. You ask thoughtful questions and help others to understand. You are supportive of your friends and care about their well-being. Your smile and enthusiasm at the start of each session demonstrates an appreciation for the teacher and a keen desire to learn. You are gentle, reassuring, calm and kind to all. You are a pleasure to teach!

Fletcher~ This award goes to a member of Prep B who consistently demonstrates our school value of respect. Fletcher is a kind and caring member of our class who listens attentively to his teachers and his peers, and respectfully follows instructions. Fletcher consistently models our value of respect through his polite manners and kind words.  Fletcher offers help to any of his peers who need it and always takes care of our classroom, ensuring it is neat and tidy.  Fletcher works carefully on his classroom activities, always having a go and doing his best. Fletcher, you are an amazing role model for your classmates, and it is wonderful having you in Prep B!

Charlie ~ This award goes to a student who consistently models our school value of ‘Kindness’ to his peers. Charlie is a shining example of Kindness through his compassion, positive mindset and kindhearted nature. Often one of the first to often help his classmates and teachers, Charlie is a true role model. Charlie always offers a kind smile, encouraging words or helping hand to those in need. Your humour, thoughtful nature and kind smile light up our classroom. We are so lucky to have you in Prep A, Charlie. Your kindness makes our school a better, happier place for all of us.

Oscar ~Oscar consistently shows our MPPS value of ‘Gratitude’ through his words and his actions. Every morning, Oscar enters the class with an infectious smile, happily greeting his classmates and teachers. Oscar is a true role model with his beautiful manners and appreciation of others' efforts. Oscar is a supportive, thoughtful classmate, cheering on others in their success and lending a helping hand when needed. You bring so much joy to our class, Oscar! Well done on being a shining example for all.

Quinn ~ When Quinn comes to the office she always uses her manners and is very polite.   

Year 1/2 

Lucas ~  This award celebrates a 1/2D student who continually shows respect in all they do. Lucas Harding is a considerate and thoughtful member of our class who treats others with kindness and fairness. He listens with care, speaks respectfully, and always chooses kind words and actions. Whether he’s working with a partner, helping a classmate, or following classroom routines, Lucas shows a genuine respect for his peers, his teachers, and our learning space. He leads by example, making responsible choices even when no one is watching, and encourages others to do the same.  Lucas has been a strong and dependable leader in our classroom, always ready to lend a hand and offer his support. He generously offers his time and energy to assist both his classmates and his class teacher. 

Lucas’ gentle and respectful nature helps create a warm, inclusive classroom where everyone feels safe and appreciated. I am incredibly proud of Lucas for being such a positive and respectful role model in 1/2D. Congratulations, Lucas — keep shining brightly!

Quinn ~ This award recognises Quinn for consistently demonstrating outstanding respect in Physical Education and sport. Quinn leads by example through her respectful attitude toward teachers, coaches, teammates, and opponents alike. She listens attentively, follows instructions carefully, and responds with kindness and maturity—creating a positive and inclusive space for everyone around her. Whether offering encouragement to a teammate, thanking the umpire after a game, or helping set up and pack away equipment without being asked, Quinn shows that respect isn’t just about words, but actions. Her ability to compete with fairness, celebrate others’ successes, and stay gracious in both victory and defeat truly embodies the spirit of sportsmanship. Quinn’s respectful approach makes her a role model and a valued member of every PE class and sporting team. Congratulations, Quinny!

Violet~  Whenever Violet comes into the office, she is always polite and respectful to both the office staff and anyone else present in the administration area. She takes the time to greet everyone with a warm smile, speaks kindly, and maintains a positive, respectful attitude.

Albert ~ This certificate is awarded with deep appreciation for Albert’s outstanding and heartfelt demonstration of gratitude. Albert continually shows what it means to be truly grateful—through his words, actions, and consistent ability to recognise and value the kindness of others. He shows us all that gratitude is not just a polite response, but a powerful way of building connection, trust, and community. Whether offering a sincere thank you, encouraging a friend, or acknowledging small but meaningful acts of support, Albert leads with gratitude. His thoughtfulness brings light into every space he enters, reminding us that appreciation is one of the simplest and most powerful gifts we can offer one another. Albert makes people feel seen, valued, and respected. Albert’s gratitude creates ripples of positivity that extend far beyond himself. He helps foster an environment where kindness is recognised, people feel appreciated, and relationships are strengthened. We are truly grateful to Albert—for the warmth he brings, for the example he sets, and for reminding us of the beauty in being thankful.  Albert, you are a star!

Camilla ~ It is with great joy that I present this award to Camilla from Grade 1/2 A. Camilla consistently demonstrates our school values of kindness. Each day she arrives with a big smile and a positive attitude, helping make 1/2 A a warm and happy environment for everyone in our class. Whether it’s helping someone who is feeling upset, including others in games, or saying well done to another student, Camilla always shows kindness. She is always one of the first to lend a hand in the classroom, showing initiative and a willingness to support other students and her teachers. Camilla’s thoughtful actions, kind words and joyful presence help make Grade 1/2 A a happy place to learn. Thank you Camilla!

Year 3/4

Radhya ~ This award goes to a kind and helpful student who consistently demonstrates our school value of RESPECT. Radhya is a thoughtful and considerate student who always treats others with kindness and respect. Radhya listens carefully, uses polite language, and shows kindness towards others. Whether working with a partner, helping a classmate, or following instructions, she demonstrates respect for peers and teachers.

Radhya’s calm and caring nature helps create a safe and welcoming learning space where everyone feels included and valued. 

Well done, Radhya, it’s been great to get to know you in Performing Arts!

Sophie ~ Sophie comes to school each day with a generous willingness to support others and to help in any way she can. Sophie’s gentle nature and thoughtful approach to her relationships and connections with her peers and teachers is greatly appreciated by everyone at MPPS. Sophie readily seeks opportunities where she can help others and openly accepts requests to support others when asked by another (peer or staff member). She is genuinely pleased with herself and her efforts to be kind to others. Sophie’s kindness and smile brightens our day at MPPS. Thank you, Sophie. Keep up the beautiful kind things you do to make MPPS a great place to be each day.

Jacob ~ Today’s Level 3/4 award goes to Jacob Harding for consistently demonstrating the MPPS value of Respect. Jacob treats all MPPS teachers and students with respect. He listens and responds thoughtfully, shows kindness and always uses terrific manners. 

Jacob acknowledges and shows care for the feelings of his peers and helps to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Thank you, Jacob. Your respectful attitude makes Level 3/4 a great place for everyone!

Nash ~ Nash is a shining example of kindness at our school. He consistently shows care and respect for those around him, always using his excellent manners and treating others with warmth. Nash goes out of his way to include everyone, making sure no one is left out and helping others feel welcome and valued. His thoughtful actions and positive attitude make him a wonderful role model for his peers, and we are proud to recognise him with this well-deserved school values award.

Isla ~ Isla consistently shows appreciation for others through her kind words, thoughtful actions and positive attitude. She recognises the contributions of her friends, peers and staff, helping to build a supportive and respectful classroom community. Thank you, Isla for being such a great role model and joy to be around.

Year 5/6

Annika ~ Annika is a wonderful exponent of the three school values. She is always polite, kind, caring and considerate of others. Annika is friendly to students and teachers alike, saying good morning or good afternoon when you walk past her in the yard or the corridor. In the classroom, she is an outstanding listener, diligently following the instructions of teachers and always trying her hardest in her learning. Annika is always looking out for the wellbeing of others and is truly deserving of the values award for respect. Well done, Annika. 

Kai ~ Kai has been showing kindness to our younger students in the yard for a number of weeks. He’s been looking after our juniors by making sure the  “big kid games” were not getting too rough or crowding them. Kai has been modelling how to resolve issues kindly for younger students when they have a disagreement and being proactive and helping all those around him. Fantastic work being a kindness role model, Kai. Keep it up!

Brigid ~ For Constantly showing kindness to everyone around her on 5/6 camp. Your ability to lead the group or help out without being asked was much appreciated.

Claire ~ Claire is always keen to do well in French and makes a special effort to be kind to everyone by explaining the grammar rules when others don't know. Felictations!

Eric ~ Eric is always keen to do well in French and makes a special effort to show grattitude to me and others. He always says "merci beacoup" and "s'il te plait" if he wants something. Feliciations Eric!
